The widow who is observing her `iddah – the Iddah period taking after the demise of her spouse – is obliged to stick to some uncommon condition. She needs to stay in the house that was her living arrangement at the time that her spouse passed on until the end of her `iddah. The length of time of the `iddah is four months and ten days, unless she is pregnant, in which case her `iddah will be until she conceives an offspring.
“For those who are pregnant, their waiting period is until they deliver their burdens.” [Sûrah al-Talâq: 4]

If a pregnant lady is divorced, her Iddah keeps going till the birth or miscarriage of the child. Thus, if, for instance, she gives birth one hour in the wake of being divorced, her Iddah period is over.
